It’s Getting Close!

It’s getting close and it’s getting exciting. June 23rd and the official launch date for The Cutting are right around the corner. Reading and signing events have been scheduled for a bunch of bookstores in Maine and in the region. I’ll be doing an interview for 207, an NBC talk show that follows the evening news with Brian Williams in Maine markets.

All of this is new to me. All my years in advertising and I was always on “the other side of the camera.”

Everyone tells me I’ll be fine and I’m reasonably sure they’re right.

Trying to spend as much time as possible on McCabe #2, as yet untitled, but there’s enough to do preparing for the launch that it’s tough to get in the hours.

    I just discovered The Cutting at my local library, took it home and immediately devoured it.
    I was both disappointed and delighted to learn that this is your first novel. Disappointed because I can’t start reading more right away. Delighted, because I’m sure there will be more Mike McCabe and cast down the road. (soon I hope) There is a lot to build on with these characters and relationships, a lot left open to the imagination at this point.
    As much as I would like to get my hands on several more, (I will buy the next one), PLEASE don’t follow the James Patterson path and start cranking them out like popcorn….small books, co-written, with each chapter being a page and a half. Commercially successful I’m sure, but not very satisfying for the reader.
    Great job….keep them coming!!

    Just finished your book, The Cutting, great first book. Looking forward to more of your books. I read 3 or 4 books a week and this is one of the best I have read for sometime.
